What are Alphanumeric Sender IDs?
The sender ID refers to the "from", so who has sent the message. This can be alpha (containing characters and numbers), numeric (only numbers) or a numeric short code.
Alphanumeric Sender IDs (ASIDs) allow users to send SMS messages from a personalized name - for example a brand or company name. These Sender IDs are ideal for one-way outbound SMS communication such as notifications and one time passwords because it helps the users recognize the brand.
