What is URL whitelisting and an URL shortener and how to use it?
URL Whitelisting
Whitelisting means that a URL can be seen as a safe domain and that you can open it without a warning. You know that a URL needs to be whitelisted if you receive the following warning when clicking on an URL from am SMS Campaign:
This image is in the Dutch language, however, all warnings look the same independent of the language.
If this warning appears, please contact our support team via [email protected].
URL Shortner
The URL shortener within Campaigns can be useful if you do not want to use a lot of characters in your content message. You can insert the URL that you want to use in the window that appears when you click on the paperclip sign in the tab below the message content:
Fill in the URL that you want to shorten and click Add:
The URL will now show as a short URL in the message content! Please note that a short URL will always be a cm.to link.
After sending the campaign the statistics of the campaign will show how many times is clicked on a short link. Next to shortening your message, it also gives you an idea of the conversion rate of your campaign, since read statuses are not available for the SMS Channel.
⚠️ Please note that shortend links will expire after 6 months, and will no longer redirect after that time.
