With metadata (formerly known as answer additions), you can add features to your answers that will provide additional functionality to your content. Metadata gives you the option to display a relevant web page together with answers via a page push or add channel escalations such as live chat. It's also possible to create metadata that can carry information for your front or back-end systems to use.
Metadata can be created via the Configuration screen. Access to this screen is based on your user role. If you don’t have access to the configuration screen, you can request access from your Project Admin.
Once you have created your metadata in the Configuration screen, you can start adding them to your answers. Note that some logic will need to be applied in the front end by a Developer to make it work.
Conversational AI Cloud offers some default metadata. These can be used in countless ways via your front end:
- Pagepush (Text type)
- Livechat (Yes/No Boolean type)
- Contact escalation (Text type)
