When personalization is active in the ticketing dashboard, it is recommended to send reminders to your visitors to personalize their tickets. Tickets can only be downloaded by the consumer when the personalization is finalized.
In order to remind your visitors to finalize the personalization (only possible with the MMC), you can follow the steps below:
- Create a new Email Campaign as a reminder of the ticket personalization:
You can use the following text as an example text for the email (which is also used in the ticketing dashboard):
Hello {{FIRST_NAME}},
Your order for {{EVENT_NAME}} has been completed successfully.
For this event ticket personalization is mandatory.
On the link below you can personalise your order. After all tickets are personalized you will receive your ticket(s) per email.

Beste {{FIRST_NAME}},
Je bestelling voor {{EVENT_NAME}} is succesvol afgerond.
Voor dit evenement geldt dat alle tickets binnen de bestelling op naam gezet moeten worden.
Je kunt je bestelling via onderstaande link personaliseren. Nadat de gehele bestelling is gepersonaliseerd ontvang je jouw tickets per email.
- Go to the ticketing dasboards and create an export per "order":
- Open the export and filter on column 'Personalisation Status' (column AH) > PENDING
! Remove all COMPLETED and NOT REQUIRED from the excel (these will not receive the personalization reminder).
! Remove all cancelled/invalid orders (this can be filtered in column C in the excel, but please remove them from the excel)
- Create a new excel file with the following information
- Ordernumber: Colomn A
- First Name: Column D
- Download URL: Colomn AG
- Go to the Address Book
- Upload your created excel list by clicking on the + icon:
Insert a Group Name (e.g. Personalisation Reminder 31-8-2023) and drag your excel to the upload area
Map the fields to the corresponding information:
! For the 'Download URL' and 'Ordernumber' there is no predefined field, therefore one of the CustomFields (e.g. CustomField1) can be used. This is also used in the actual email campaign behind the button to go to the personalization page.
- When the Address Book is succesfully uploaded, you are able to select this in the Email Campaign:
- To set up that when clicking on the button in the email to go directly to the personalization page, you insert the corresponding CustomField behind the button: {{ Recipient.CustomField1 }}
If you want to test is everything is set up correctly, you can send a test mail:
When sending a test mail test information is used from one of the recipients of the address book.
Please note: if you send another reminder later on, the above steps need to be done again (to exclude al the orders that have been personalized in the meantime and possible new orders).
