This article explains how to create a customized consent management page in the Customer Data Platform to use for your email campaigns opt-out management. And how to use it as well for your email opt-in management.

Steps
A consent management page is the page that people will see when clicking on the unsubscribe link in the email send with Email campaigns. This page can be customized by adding your brand’s colors and logo.
To do so, go to the Customer Data Platform, to Sources and click Consent.
On this consent management page you see three different tabs:
Event Management
In the first tab you see an overview of the different eventtypes created for the different event categories. Clicking on the event show the different fields configured per event. No action needed on this page.
Consent Customization
On the second tab, Consent customization, you can customize the following parts of the page people will see when clicking on "unsubcribe" in your email.:
- Page title
- Page description
- Button color/text
- Checkbox color
- Unsubscribe button text
- Logo
- Checkbox
Using the checkbox, you have the option to only show the consent categories that people have subscribed to or show all the available consent categories available. In this way the page can also function as a personal opt-in/subscribe and opt-out/unsubscribe page. If you want this, check the option “Always show all consents”.
Do you want to know how the page looks for someone in your CDP? Go to Profile insights, click on a profile, click on the three dots in the right top corner and select Consents.

Consent Categories
On this third tab you can add, remove and edit you consent categories. For every consent category a titel and description is available.
An example of consent categories are different types of content that a person can subscribe to. To connect a data source to the right consent, please contact your CM contactperson.
