What is the Customer Contact dataretention period setting?

Resolution

The dataren​​​​​​tention setting will automatically delete old messages in Customer Contact. Setting a retention policy is important for security and consumer privacy. We really encourage our customers to not save more data than absolutely required.  We recommend this in order to protect the privacy of consumers we want to encourage customers to not store histories of chat conversations for eternity.
