CM.com Launches Ticketing Solution in the UK & Ireland

CM.com, global leader in conversational commerce, launched a new ticketing solution for the live events sector in the UK & IE.

CM.com’s London outpost will mark the ticketing division’s first expansion outside the Benelux region, where clients include the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, ALDA, Perron, Oh My Festival, Latin Village and Westergas Events. Leading CM.com’s new UKI Music & Live division will be Paul Everett, formerly Head of Music at Eventbrite, Europe.

At a time when Digital Native audiences predominantly engage with events through their mobile phones, CM.com’s ticketing platform is mobile-first, combining smart audience analytics and in-event mobile order capabilities. Setting a new precedent for what a ticketing platform can offer, CM.com will streamline every aspect of event organization, from the beginning through to the end of an event’s lifecycle.

For the event promoter, this looks like:

  • WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram integration - promoting to and engaging with audiences where they are.
  • Centralizing all conversations across multiple platforms into one place for customer service.
  • Real-time analytics for in-depth insights into audience habits & behavior.
  • Multichannel marketing tools which optimize audience engagement and get results.
  • Custom branding, to ensure e-tickets and ticket shops integrate seamlessly with brands.
  • On-site payment equipment and support.
  • Pre-event revenue with early payout options.

For event-goers, this means:

  • Quick and easy ticket purchases with no account creation or log-in required.
  • Cashless mobile payments and one-click payments in-event.
  • Personalized purchasing experiences, tailored to their likes and behaviors.

Assuming the role of CM.com’s Head of Music & Live is Paul Everett, formerly Head of Music at Eventbrite, Europe. Based in the London office, Everett’s role will be to lead on acquisition and growth and implement the company’s music strategy alongside the rapidly expanding Music & Live team, which comprises former Eventbrite, Live Nation, AMG, Pollen, Apple executives.

CM.com’s Head of Music & Live Paul Everett said: ‘‘Most ticketing platforms have been treading the same well-worn path for years, despite the fact that independent event creators’ needs are continually evolving. CM.com ticketing has already been hugely successful in Benelux - we are excited to move the needle within UK & Ireland live events with an industry first offering.”

Prior to Eventbrite, Everett served as an Artist Manager at Supervision Management He co-founded music management, live events and ticketing consultancy, Wonderland Management Group, and worked within promotions at Beggars Group. Completing the Music & Live team is Jonny Patrickson, Senior Partnerships Manager (prev. Eventbrite), Josh Pow, Lead Account Manager (prev. Eventbrite, Live Nation, AMG), Fiona Primavera, Partnerships Manager (prev. Eventbrite, Pollen), and Sandra Crowley, Technical Consultant (prev. Eventbrite, Apple).

CM.com Launches Ticketing Solution in the UK & Ireland

With exclusive ticketing partnerships in place with The Weekender Festival Group and leading Newcastle club promoters ape-X, CM.com is here to facilitate the next generation of independent event promoters. Following 18 months of major upheaval, the live events industry is entering a new era - one that calls for progressive and new ways of thinking as it rebuilds itself from the ground up.

Founded in The Netherlands in 1999 by entrepreneurs Gilbert Gooijers and Jeroen van Glabbeek, CM.com initially launched a service that allowed nightclubs to send SMS messages detailing DJ set times, line up changes, and offers to their patrons. As a DJ himself at the time, Gooijers saw a gap in the market for a service that allowed event organizers to communicate directly and effectively with their audience. Together with van Glabbeek, they developed the original technology and so the foundation for CM.com was laid.

Jeroen van Glabbeek, CEO CM.com says “We always say: selling tickets is just the start. It represents how we see the Music & Live sector, and has become a unique proposition on which we can link all CM.com solutions. We are able to create the ultimate event journey for our customers and their visitors. With Paul and his team coming on board, and everything we’ve learned in the Benelux so far, we are looking forward to rolling out this proposition in the UK & Ireland.”
