In a multi-year deal which launched last month, CM.com will act as Amnesia’s primary online ticketing partner and will also provide the iconic Ibiza club with their customer service and marketing software, enabling them to communicate effectively with the hundreds of thousands of fans who pass through their doors each year. The deal represents the CM.com ticketing business’ first venture into the Balearics and wider Spanish market, and the first in a number of new deals soon to be announced, which will see CM.com’s ticketing business expand significantly internationally in 2023.
Amnesia Ibiza
Founded in 1976, Amnesia Ibiza is regularly voted as one of the world's best clubs - it is one of those rare clubs whose name has transcended the bricks and mortar and come to represent something altogether more significant in the cultural landscape. Today, more than 45 years later, the boundary pushing Amnesia remains as relevant and important as ever, hosting a who's who of the world's best parties, including Elrow, Pyramid, Paradise and superstar DJs such as Jamie Jones, Steve Aoki, Joseph Capriati, Maceo Plex, Ricardo Villalobos and Bicep.
Sergi Blaya, Partner at Amnesia Ibiza said, “We’re delighted to enter this partnership with CM.com, allowing us to optimise our customer’s ticketing experience. We look forward to innovating with them by introducing crypto payment with our partner KlubCoin and using their marketing suite to create new ways of engaging with our online customers.”
TixBox
Additionally, in the MENA region (Middle East & North Africa), CM.com has entered into a new multi-year deal with TixBox, the ticketing partner for Alchemy Project, the leading entertainment and event management agency in the MENA region who have organised over 1,000 events globally, hosted over 400 international artists and hosted more than 10,000,000 attendees globally.
As part of the strategic deal, between CM.com and TixBox, all events running through TixBox will use enhanced integrated systems and solutions for customers powered by CM.com on their website and app. Since the partnership launched in October 2022, CM.com has supported TixBox with a host of events, including 31 events during the 2022 World Cup across 3 festival stages: Arcadia, Daydream and World Stage. Artists performing included Black Eyed Peas, Robbie Williams, J Balvin, Akon, Tamer Hosny, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Artbat, Timmy Trumpet, Oliver Heldens, Camelphat, Claptone, Major Lazer, Alesso and more.
Both the Amnesia and TixBox deals have come via CM.com’s London ticketing division which launched in 2021 and marked CM.com’s first expansion outside of the Benelux region, where clients include Lowlands Festival and the Dutch Grand Prix. CM.com’s Music & Live team is led by Paul Everett, formerly Head of Music at Eventbrite, Europe.
Paul Everett said: "After launching 18 months ago and delivering significant growth in 2022, we’re thrilled to be kicking off 2023 as we mean to go on, announcing two deals which represent the start of a significant global expansion for CM.com within our live division. Amnesia and TixBox are both internationally recognised brands, leaders in their respective fields and like us, progressive in approach. We are proud to be partnering with them long term to provide our innovative suite of solutions, ensuring their attendees can enjoy the very best customer experience possible.”
Founded in The Netherlands in 1999 by entrepreneurs Gilbert Gooijers and Jeroen van Glabbeek, CM.com initially launched a service which allowed nightclubs to send SMS messages detailing DJ set times, line up changes and offers to their patrons. With a background in the DJ scene, Gooijers and his partner van Glabbeek recognised the opportunity innovative technology offers to improve communication with the visitors of clubs, sport events, museums and other events. Together they developed the unique technology that laid the foundation for CM.com.
